5 Minute Hairstyle - Fishtail Braid

Hey everybody,
I wanted to share one of the easiest and cutest braids that I sport on a regular basis. My hair is really long and thick...and in the winter, it can be somewhat of a nightmare #frizz. Most mornings, I have no time to style my hair so I resort to braids. The fishtail braid is one of my favorites. It's trendy, sleek, and makes you look super put-together in no time.

Step 1: Part your hair down the middle into two sections.

Step 2: While keeping hold of one section, take a small strand of hair on the opposite side (front).

Step 3: Add that strand to the section you've been holding.

Step 4: Now repeat steps 2-3 for the opposite section.

Step 5: Continue alternating between sections, and a fishtail will take form!

Simple Holiday Nails

Hi everyone,
I just wanted to share a simple, festive holiday manicure that's versatile enough to wear every day or for special events. Continue reading to see how it turned out...

Final look first :)
Clearly, winter has not been kind to my normally long nails. They've been brittle and breaking super easily :( Fortunately, this manicure covers that up!

I started with two coats of Sally Hansen's Xtreme Wear in "Wet Cement." This polish is really easy to work with and dries fast.

Next, I used a silver glitter polish to amp up the look. If you're a fan of accent nails or want a more subtle look, you can apply the glitter polish to your ring finger only.

However, personally, I'm not a big fan of accent nails. So, I went ahead and painted all of nails with the glitter polish. I added a fast drying top coat, and here's the finished product!

I love how this turned out, and how easy it was! Of course, you can substitute the colors to your liking. I hope you enjoyed this post.
Happy Holidays!
